Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy (PFPT) is a branch of physiotherapy that specializes in the evaluation and treatment of weak or tight pelvic floor muscles. PFPT aims to address issues that may arise due to pelvic floor dysfunction, such as:

  • Incontinence
  • Muscle spasms
  • Painful urination
  • Lower back pain

Pelvic floor muscles are a group of muscles is located between the pubic bone and the tailbone. They play a key role in essential bodily functions like going to the bathroom and having sex, as they support your bladder, bowel, and internal reproductive organs. Additionally, pelvic floor muscles help stabilize the pelvis and spine.
